This website is operated by Asociația lui Amos (registration no. CUI 50302102), based in Fundu Moldovei, Suceava County, Romania ("we"). For any question about your data, write to us at hello@spiritanimals.ro.
What data we process and why
- Visit bookings: the period, number of people, e-mail, phone and details you send, used solely to organise and confirm your visit (basis: steps taken at your request).
- Symbolic adoptions: your chosen animal, monthly amount and e-mail, used to keep track of the adoption and send you the animal's updates (basis: performance of our arrangement with you).
- Newsletter: your e-mail address, used only to send you sanctuary updates (basis: your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Correspondence: messages sent by e-mail or Messenger, used to reply to you.
- Donations: payments are processed exclusively by external providers (Stripe, PayPal, Revolut, your bank). We do not collect or store your card details; we only see the information attached to the payment (name, amount, reference), needed for accounting (basis: legal obligations).
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data. It may be shared with the providers that help us operate (payment processors, our e-mail provider, the newsletter platform) and with authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
Only as long as needed for the purpose we received it: booking data until your visit is completed and a reasonable period after, newsletter e-mails until you unsubscribe, and donation records for as long as accounting law requires.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@spiritanimals.ro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Cookie policy
Our website is built to use the bare minimum:
- Local storage (essential): we keep your language preference and your cookie choice in your browser. This information is not sent to us and does not track you.
- Embedded third-party content (optional): our Facebook feed and the Google map load only if you accept cookies. When you accept, Meta and Google may set their own cookies under their own policies. You can refuse, and the site works normally without these elements.
- Payments: the Stripe, PayPal and Revolut payment pages open on their own websites and use their own cookies, required to process the payment.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser and revisiting the page.
Terms of use
- The spiritanimals.ro website presents the work of Spirit Animals Sanctuary, run by Asociația lui Amos, and facilitates donations, symbolic adoptions and visit bookings.
- Donations are voluntary and support the animals' care and the sanctuary's operation. We regularly publish reports on how they are used.
- Adoption is symbolic: the animal remains in the sanctuary's care, and your monthly contribution supports their wellbeing. You can stop contributing at any time.
- Visits take place only with a confirmed booking and in line with the rules we communicate, for your safety and the animals'. Visiting is at your own risk.
- The website's content (texts, photographs, logo) belongs to Asociația lui Amos or the credited authors and may not be reused commercially without permission.
- These terms are governed by Romanian law.
